In a viscous clutch, the power transmission is performed thanks to the viscous fluid located inside the clutch frame.

In Cojali, we consider that it is essential to guarantee the clutch frame sealing to ensure that there are not leakages of viscous fluid and, therefore, secure the correct operation of the viscous clutch.

For this reason, 100% of the clutch frame components undergo a pneumatic inspection by following the procedure below:

We inject the pressurised air into the cavities of the components that form the clutch frame and we measure the pressure drop that is produced.
If the pressure drop is within the standards set by Cojali, the component is suitable for the assembly and enters the manufacturing line of viscous clutches.
Otherwise, these parts are discarded to ensure in this way the quality and durability of the clutches that we manufacture.
